Sky promises £2bn for ITV shows over five years

Popular television programmes could keep running under plans linked to a proposed ownership change. Sky has pledged to spend £2bn on ITV Studios during the next five years while preparing to buy ITV's broadcasting business, with an announcement possible in early July.
