Six nations back FIFA boss Gianni Infantino for re-election
FIFA President Gianni Infantino published statements from six nations backing his re-election after controversial plans to sell shares in tournaments were scrapped. His decision to abandon the venture earned him praise from Sri Lanka, Bhutan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Morocco. England, Wales and Serbia previously withdrew their support for him following the failed proposals ahead of the 2027 election.
