Sir Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is now the highest-earning R-rated film

The blockbuster, an adaptation of Homer's epic, is the first R-rated film to take over $1.35 billion worldwide. It exceeded the $1.338 billion earned by Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Wolverine. The Odyssey also became Nolan's most successful movie, earning $1.104 billion and beating The Dark Knight Rises.
