Sinkholes shut Gatwick trains from London and Brighton
Train services to Gatwick and Brighton were suspended on Sunday because of sinkholes found near a south London railway bridge. Network Rail said engineers found several sinkholes near Purley during planned work, closing lines between Purley and East Croydon for urgent repairs. The disruption, which also affects Gatwick Express, is expected to last until at least Monday morning.
