Shell electric car prototype charges to 80% in 10 minutes
The Shell Triple 10 Challenge Concept Car, an advanced electric vehicle, achieves a battery charge from 10% to 80% in just ten minutes. Engineers at HORIBA-MIRA in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, helped create the demonstrator car, which uses a new coolant fluid to keep its motor and battery cool. The new coolant fluid allows the battery to work harder and helps give the car a 124-mile range, despite having a smaller battery and low carbon footprint.
