People waiting for changes to immigration rules could face more uncertainty as disagreement continues inside government. Shabana Mahmood asked Keir Starmer on Thursday to remove immigration minister Mike Tapp after he wrote an unauthorised article arguing overseas care workers should be excluded from planned settlement changes. No decision has been made, and Tapp remains in post despite the dispute.
