Scottish para-swimmer Stephen Clegg wins Commonwealth gold

Stephen Clegg, nicknamed Mariah Cleggy by his coach, won gold in the S14 50m freestyle at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games on Tuesday, clocking 24.73 seconds. It followed a silver in the 100m event on the Games opening night for the Scottish para-swimmer. Hours later Matthew Ward, Angharad Evans, Keanna MacInnes and Duncan Scott took bronze in the 4x200m mixed medley relay, edging out Canada.
