Scientists finally finish Schrödinger's colour model
New research has finally fixed a 100-year-old gap in how we mathematically understand colour, which could help fields like photography and video. A team from Los Alamos, led by scientist Roxana Bujack, used geometry to formalise Erwin Schrödinger's 100-year-old colour perception model. They filled a key gap by formally defining the "neutral axis" (the line of grays), which Schrödinger hadn't done.
