SBS Blocks Volvo EV Access Over Spy Concerns
Security rules for military staff are tightening because connected vehicles could expose sensitive information or record private conversations. Britain's Special Boat Service stopped Chinese-made electric cars entering its Poole headquarters, with one defence source saying a Chinese-built Volvo was turned away last year during a training course. China denied the claims, while Volvo said it wouldn't share information with any foreign state actor.
