San Francisco orders Apple, Google to remove 13 AI 'nudify' apps

San Francisco's city attorney has ordered Apple and Google to take down 13 apps that create AI-generated nonconsensual nude images. Legal notices viewed by WIRED instruct the tech giants to cease facilitating the distribution of explicit deepfake images. Google says it has removed hundreds of such apps, while Apple states it has removed three flagged apps and is terminating developer accounts.
