Rubio warns Nato base limits hurt US missions

Military cooperation inside Nato could face fresh strain after the US complained some allies blocked access to bases during operations linked to Iran. Marco Rubio said countries including Spain denied Washington use of military facilities, creating delays and “unnecessary dangers” during a recent contingency mission. Speaking after meeting Giorgia Meloni, he said fewer than 14% of US troops in Germany were affected by planned reductions.
