Roof collapses in huge Thurmaston shopping centre fire

A huge fire has badly damaged a Leicestershire shopping centre, with a large part of its roof collapsing. Firefighters were called to Thurmaston Shopping Centre around 4am on Saturday, with over 40 crew members tackling the blaze. Eight fire engines and two aerial appliances attended, and nearby residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
