Roberto Mancini takes Italy job for second time
Roberto Mancini has been appointed Italy head coach for a second spell, six years after his Euro 2020 title win. The appointment follows a chaotic search after director Paolo Maldini quit within 16 days, and his pick Andrea Pirlo was dropped over a Russian betting firm role. Pep Guardiola had turned down the role earlier, and Claudio Ranieri is tipped to replace Maldini as director.
