Richard Carapaz wins Tour de France stage 18 in French Alps

Richard Carapaz of Ecuador secured a decisive win during the eighteenth stage of the Tour de France, completing the race 45 seconds ahead of his nearest competitors. The mountainous 185.2km stage also saw sickness affect overall leader Tadej Pogacar's team. The yellow jersey continues to be held by Pogacar, who maintains a lead of four minutes and 32 seconds.
