Rescue continues for five people on vessel in Channel
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency stated that the operation to rescue a distressed vessel carrying five individuals would persist through the night. On Saturday evening, a helicopter, a plane, and several lifeboats were deployed to an area south-west of Eddystone Lighthouse, near Plymouth. RNLI lifeboats from Falmouth and Plymouth are being helped by several civilian vessels, including French fishing boats.
