Regulator finds 9 UK banks failed vulnerable customers.
The financial regulator has reported that certain major UK banks are not adequately serving their most vulnerable clients. These banks directed individuals experiencing homelessness or financial difficulties towards inappropriate online applications, rather than offering them fundamental bank accounts. Following requests from the Financial Conduct Authority, nine prominent banks and building societies have committed to simplifying access to these accounts.
