Reform UK proposes £100m plan for MPs' 24/7 security
Reform UK wants to provide all 650 MPs with round-the-clock protection, a plan estimated to cost up to £100 million. The party's home affairs spokesman, Zia Yusuf, stated resources would also be allocated to ex-politicians who remain engaged in public life. The announcement comes after the demise of party spokeswoman Ann Widdecombe, an event counter-terrorism police described as a "targeted attack".
