Reeves eyes fuel duty delay as oil prices jump 60%

Drivers could avoid higher petrol and diesel costs later this year as fuel prices keep rising. Reuters reported on Saturday that Rachel Reeves is expected to delay a planned September rise in fuel duty after The Sun first reported the proposal. Oil prices have climbed about 60% since fighting involving Iran began in February, while fuel duty raised £24 billion in the last financial year.
