Rayner to rejoin Cabinet after stamp duty issue
Prime Minister Keir Starmer has confirmed that Angela Rayner will return to his Cabinet, calling her hugely talented in an Observer interview. Rayner resigned as deputy prime minister and housing secretary in September after breaching ministerial code by underpaying stamp duty on property. Starmer said he missed her and criticized misogyny in the criticism she faced. The announcement comes amid speculation about Labour leadership challenges and Conservative demands for Rayner to repay taxes.
