Rachel Reeves: Why she wants to keep current budget rules
People and firms could see current budget rules continue if the Treasury team remains unchanged under a new prime minister. Speaking at a British Chambers of Commerce event on Thursday, Rachel Reeves said she still had work left in the job, praised her record and urged any successor to keep her approach. She cited first-quarter growth of 0.6 per cent and said Andy Burnham supports the fiscal rules.
