Queen Camilla is Brontë Birthplace's new patron

An invitation to become the Royal Patron of the Brontë Birthplace museum and education centre in Thornton, Bradford, has been accepted by Queen Camilla. The centre, which had been accessible to the public for the first time in its 200-year existence, was officially opened by the Queen in May 2025. This means the birthplace of Charlotte, Emily, Anne and Branwell Brontë will gain vital publicity and recognition.
