Qantas to launch 22-hour non-stop flights to London
Qantas will begin its Project Sunrise non-stop flights between Sydney and London in October 2027, covering about 17,000km in up to 22 hours. The airline is buying 12 Airbus A350-1000ULR jets, each costing $330 million, to operate these ultra-long routes. Passengers will have access to a "wellness zone" with handles for exercises and self-serve refreshments to help with jet lag on the long journeys.
