Putin refuses Zelenskyy meeting, repeats Ukraine war demands

Hopes for peace talks to end the Ukraine war have been dashed, after Vladimir Putin turned down Volodymyr Zelenskyy's offer to meet. Speaking at the St Petersburg economic forum, Russia’s president called Zelenskyy’s open letter ‘rude’ and refused face-to-face discussions. Putin restated his demand to seize all the Donbas, including Luhansk and over 85% of Donetsk.
