Post Office inquiry needs £16.5m or faces delay

Individuals harmed by the widespread problems with the Post Office's Horizon software system are confronting a five-year postponement in the criminal inquiry, which impacts their efforts to achieve fair redress. Police commander Stephen Clayman stated the criminal inquiry requires millions more in funding and 99 additional staff to meet its early 2028 deadline. The investigation has a £16.5 million shortfall from its projected £19.3 million budget.
