Pope Leo XIV wants AI disarmed, criticises Trump

The future of humanity is at stake with new rules for artificial intelligence. Pope Leo XIV issued his first encyclical, "Magnifica Humanitas," on Monday, May 25, 2026, calling for robust AI regulation and its disarming from "domination, exclusion and death." He also criticised the Trump administration for deregulating AI and for the Iran war.
