Police want Brueckner tried in UK for McCann
Madeleine McCann's suspected abductor could face trial in Britain for her disappearance and murder. Metropolitan Police detectives are pushing for Christian Brueckner, 48, to be extradited and charged at the Old Bailey before next year's 20th anniversary. Investigators believe they have a strong case, but Germany's constitution prevents its citizens' extradition to non-EU countries.
