Thousands of evening commuters were stuck at London Waterloo after a police incident closed all lines between Woking and Brookwood on Thursday. South Western Railway trains to Basingstoke, Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and Exeter faced cancellations or delays of up to two hours, while crowds at Wimbledon were held back from platforms. Police have not explained the incident. Today's tickets will also be valid on Friday.
