Polestar and Oxford study finds EV thrills come from trust and control

Polestar and Oxford University's SDG Impact Lab tested 12 experienced Polestar drivers on Sweden's Gotland Ring circuit, wiring them up with heart-rate monitors and eye trackers. Drivers rated the 536bhp Polestar 4 at 89.2 out of 100 for performance, against 67.7 for the 268bhp version. The researchers say a faster heartbeat can't yet be separated from physical effort in this pilot study.
