Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced £65m in funding to help farmers in England manage the ongoing drought. The majority of the funds, £50m, are earmarked for the Sustainable Farming Incentive, a scheme compensating farmers for nature conservation. Farmers will also get £15m for building on-farm reservoirs and easier access to water.
