Phone passkeys: Are they really safer than passwords?

It seems experts want us to use passkeys, like a phone PIN or facial recognition, as they might be safer than old passwords. The UK's National Cyber Security Centre says passkeys are "unphishable" and "less hackable" because they are unique to your device. But some wonder how safe they are if your phone is stolen and someone guesses its PIN.
