Perseverance Rover Locates 4-Billion-Year-Old Mars Delta

Mounting evidence for water on Mars is important for understanding potential past life on the planet. NASA's Perseverance rover found a river delta underground in Jezero Crater using radar, based on data collected between September 2023 and February 2024. Discovered up to 35 metres deep, the delta dates from roughly 3.7 to 4.2 billion years ago.
