Partners of Sitting and Former Labour MPs Arrested for Spying for China
Counter-terrorism police have arrested three men on suspicion of assisting China's intelligence service, including the partners of both a sitting and a former Labour MP. The men, aged 39, 43, and 68, were detained across London and Wales under the National Security Act. Searches were carried out at properties in London, East Kilbride, and Cardiff. Security Minister Dan Jarvis said the arrests relate to suspected Chinese interference in British democracy, warning of severe consequences if criminal activity is proven.
