Parents face hidden childcare costs review
Parents are facing extra childcare costs, even though the government is trying to ease pressure on household budgets. Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson has asked the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to conduct a competition review of these hidden charges. This includes non-refundable deposits, additional paid hours, and fees for basics such as nappies, meals, and sun cream.
