Oxfordshire science labs protected despite £162m funding gap
Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, an Oxfordshire science facility, confirmed its research will continue despite facing a £162 million budget shortfall. The government is moving funding away from the Science and Technology Facilities Council over the next four years. Cuts will come from "efficiency savings" rather than impacting critical facilities like Diamond Light Source at Harwell.
