Over one million UK passports may not meet EU entry requirements

Holidaymakers from Britain planning trips to France, Greece, Italy, and Spain this summer must scrutinise their passports. More than one million UK passports might not meet the entry requirements for the EU's Schengen area. Over 705,000 passports have less than three months' validity left, and another 350,000 were issued over ten years ago.
