At least 72 civilians looking for gold in Sudan's River Nile state died in air strikes on Saturday. A Sudanese rights group, Emergency Lawyers, said jets targeted the miners at popular gold sites. Neither Egyptian nor Sudanese authorities have commented on the alleged attacks, which the group called a violation of international law.
