Otamendi retires from Argentina after 17-year international career

Nicolas Otamendi, an Argentina defender, concluded his 17-year international football career on Thursday with an announcement of his retirement. The 38-year-old made 139 appearances for his country, making him Argentina's fifth-most capped player in history. His final match was the World Cup final, which Argentina lost to Spain, though he won the 2022 World Cup and two Copa America titles.
