OpenAI to merge ChatGPT and Codex into superapp
OpenAI is merging its ChatGPT app, Codex coding platform and Atlas browser into a single desktop superapp aimed at business and developer customers. Applications chief Fidji Simo told staff that spreading effort across too many products was slowing the company down and hurting quality. President Greg Brockman is overseeing the overhaul, framed as a response to rising enterprise competition.
