OpenAI previews GPT-5.6 with three new models
OpenAI has begun a limited preview of GPT-5.6, a new generation of models led by its most powerful system yet, called Sol, alongside a mid-range model and a cheaper, faster one. The company said it is releasing the models to a small group of trusted partners first, at the request of the US government, over concerns about their stronger cybersecurity abilities. OpenAI plans to make all three generally available in the coming weeks.
