OpenAI launches ChatGPT Translate to rival Google Translate
OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Translate, a standalone web-based translation service positioned to compete directly with Google Translate. The new tool supports over 50 languages with automatic detection and offers unique AI-powered features including style customization options like business formal, academic or simplified language. Unlike traditional translators, it focuses on context and tone rather than literal conversion. The service works without requiring a paid ChatGPT subscription and features a familiar dual-panel interface.
