One in three people still can’t afford a healthy diet, UN says
A new UN report says 2.69 billion people cannot afford food that meets their nutritional needs, even though global hunger fell slightly in 2025. Five UN agencies said a healthy diet now costs about $4.28 a day, above the $3 poverty line. Africa is worst affected, with 66.6% of people unable to afford one.
