Olivia Rodrigo's festival raises $20m for women's charities after Melinda French Gates donation

Olivia Rodrigo's first Daisy Chain Fields festival generated $20 million for women-focused organisations, thanks to a major donation. The 23-year-old pop star put together the gathering on Saturday, 29 August, in Irvine, California, which included performances by Stevie Nicks and Sarah McLachlan. Melinda French Gates doubled the initial $10 million raised, with funds going to 10 charities, including Planned Parenthood.
