Older UK teens to get social media curfew they can switch off
The UK government wants social media apps like Instagram and TikTok to be unavailable by default for 16 and 17-year-olds between midnight and 6 am. These measures, which also include disabling "addictive" features, aim to improve teenagers' focus, sleep, and family life. However, critics call the plans "piecemeal" and a "missed opportunity" for child safety, with some questioning their effectiveness.
