Cornell University has hired Sally Yates, a former deputy attorney general, to investigate how it handles sexual misconduct complaints. The hiring follows widespread anger and demonstrations concerning the university's handling of a reported gang rape incident at a fraternity house in 2024. Yates will also look at the oversight of campus groups and how a specific woman's complaint was handled.
