A family-run vineyard in Surlingham, Norfolk, had about 500kg of Bacchus grapes stolen, enough to make around 400 bottles of wine. Lee Dyer, the owner of Winbirri Vineyard, said the stolen grapes were worth about £1,000, or £8,000 if made into wine. Norfolk Police were notified on October 2 of a theft thought to have taken place between September 20 and 22.
