Norway to bar young children from AI in schools
As most countries rush AI into classrooms, Norway is going the other way, betting young children need to master the basics first. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said on Friday the rules for pupils aged 6 to 13 take effect when school resumes in late August. Teenagers up to 16 may use AI only under teacher supervision, and Norway already banned school smartphones in 2024.
