Norway receives 21 company applications for new oil and gas exploration blocks
Norway's government has now received applications from 21 oil and gas firms, including Shell, for new exploration areas. The energy ministry announced on Friday that the applications are for its yearly mature-areas licensing round. This year's round includes 70 new blocks in the North Sea, Norwegian Sea, and Barents Sea.
