The NHS is now providing a complimentary double vaccine for individuals aged 65 to 80, offering protection from shingles. From 1 September 2023, adults are eligible when they turn 65 and will get two doses, given six to 12 months apart. If you turned 65 before 1 September 2023, you become eligible at 70 and remain so until your 80th birthday.
