NHS England now offers first drug improving multiple sclerosis patients' walking

Around 5,000 individuals in England stand to gain annually from fampridine, a multiple sclerosis drug described as a "signal booster". Fampridine improves nerve signals, making it easier for some patients to move and live independently. Clinical trials showed about four in ten people taking the drug had better walking speed and could walk for longer.
