New EU fingerprint checks mean 3-hour airport wait for Britons
Due to new border checks, British holidaymakers should now plan to arrive at airports across Europe three hours prior to their departure for home. Yvonne Moynihan, Wizz Air's UK director, cautioned that extended delays at passport control have led to some passengers missing their flights. These new Entry Exit System checks require non-EU travellers to register fingerprints when entering Europe.
